In the United States, kratom is not federally regulated. This means that there are no government agencies that inspect or guarantee the quality and safety of kratom products purchased in the US, including online. Due to the drug’s harmful effects and addictive properties, the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) has considered labeling kratom as a controlled substance.

Kratom is illegal in: Alabama, Arkansas, Indiana, Rhode Island, Vermont, Wisconsin.
Except 6 sites at the top, kratom is legal in the states in the United States. Of the many states in the United States that legalize kratom, there are several states that state that kratom should only be consumed by people over the age of 18 or 20 years old.
Although kratom is technically legal at the federal level, several states and municipalities have voted to ban the substance, making it illegal to sell, possess, grow, or use it.
